At this moment I'm still working on what it is I would like to accomplish here - Plus Size Fashion over 50! In all the googling and browsing I have done, I find alot of plus size sites- fashion for over 50 - but nothing in regards to plus size women over 50.

Knowing your style would be a good start, problem I see is that there are not alot of choicess out there for over 50. I went to a LB store and sure they have great stuff - if your 16- 25... I am 58! not one thing in that store I would put on my body. I do shop online ALOT, the one store i was fond of, closed, shame because it was the best wash/wear clothing I have found. So, back to the drawing board.

Mason Jar Salads

I would like to share with you something I did find on Pinterest - MASON JAR SALADS- absolute greatness! - Seriously, I make them up on Sunday and take them to work for my lunch, I have been making and eating for about a month now - SO SIMPLE and they look beautiful!

My favorite so far is ham/chicken salad

Starting with a MASON jar - wide mouth -
Salad dressing on the bottom - I use Walden Farms since
 I'm diabetic this is Calorie Free/Sugar Free/Fat Free/ Carb Free/ Gluten Free and Cholesterol Free! Ceasar is my choice.

next carrot shreds - this veggie is solid enough to hold the dressing
Cherry Tomatoes
Chopped black olives you dont have to use these but I love black olives!
Brocolli
chicken/ham diced
Lettuce- I LOVE the Romain lettuce. Leafy
Lid and put in fridge - they keep for up to 7 days - lettuce stays so fresh
Once i open for my lunch, the shredded carrots have held the dressing, its like you make the salad as you pull out the layers -
I also make a wonderful fruit salad with blueberries/pineapple and rasberries - Poppy seed dressing
Yum!

The Mason Jars i found at my local Kroger. With my reward card the inital purchase of ALL items ran about 60.00. This lasted me thru 2 weeks - made 4 jars . and still have fruit left for my breakfast!

Wow, not much on the web

Just spent a few hours googling "over 50 plus size" - a few good articles, but not many clothing options that are reasonable. One thing I did notice was the models - plus size models. many are beautiful , young and a size 16? There was one article claiming a size 6 is  plus size ???   Crazy!!!
Got me to thinking, what is Plus size??

Plus size clothing tends to refer to clothing made for women who wear a size 14 in the US or 16 in the UK,  All I could say was WOW - I myself think of a PLUS size 20 and over - seriously people! Its no wonder we have no decent clothing for over 50 and PLUS size!. I am not here to tell you what you need to wear - just help you find things that you CAN wear and will look spectacular with out breaking your bank. I have been Pinteresting alot, and seem to notice again in the womens fashion section all ads and pins are dedicated to size 0 - 6. I would like to see that change so women over 50 and plus size can go to PINTERST and PIN for there size.... How do  I do that? well stay tuned because if anyone can do it I CAN and Will

Intelligence is llike underwear. It is important that you have it, but not necessary that you show it off.

Up early- thought all night about what to do with this blog, I don't want it to me, me, me. SO I am putting together plus size thoughts, outfits. what to and what not to wear. At my age 58, seems like most clothing stores put old lady flowers and prints out for plus size - last thing I want on my butt FLOWERS - lord help us, my butt would look like a flower field! - SO, I got to thinking how many other women are out there that think the same. I buy ALOT of my cloths online, basically because the stores have limited and ugly clothing for women of my size and age. I thought why not share what I know--- so I will be blogging about my trials and tribulations of being a plus size 58 year old woman.

MY HOME

I have redone my home, took a few months but LOVE LOVE the look and no carpet! -All Tille! Wes Tex Construction did a fantastic job. It's so nice to come home to my new digs LOVE my kitchen!! the best part of all NO MORE POPCORN CEIILINGS :-)

New Furrkid

Update on my furrkids - most of you know I had to place Edgar Allen Poe in a new home. Sad and hard to do, since he was with me as a baby. BUT, He kept beating the crap out of Alfred Lord Tennyson (Alfie). I tried trainers, seperation, crates, you name it. He just would not stop.
SO, I did find Poe a great home and he is happy as can be. When I realized he would be fine was the smile on his face as he rounded the back yard of his new home.  ALFIE is back to his high stepping ways and no longer hiding in fear. I found Zoey on Facebook, someone needed to rehome her. She is amazing, such a character! Everyone who meets her falls in love with her, She loves to play with Alfie, and he loves to play with her . Good fit! This is a picture of my furrkids with new haircuts -
