BLAST FROM THE PAST

Meet Mrs Potato Head
Yesterday I had the privilege of picking Clare up from school. SO a trip to TARGET prior to departing up north was necessary. While cruising the aisle 's for poss able entertainment for her. I came across MR POTATO HEAD - thought, hmm maybe they have a MRS! So digging through the few they had lo and behold there she was. In her own carry case big as life with 40 different pieces! I was thrilled. Brought her back to the office and proceeded to put her together. So I ask myself, who did I really buy this for?

Cut and Cute

New and improved Beasty Boyz - well not so much new BUT Edgar Allen Poe just turned 3 so we decided to celebrate with new look, clean cut and matching shirts! - Poe is the bigger of the 2, but the youngest. Alfie on the other hand none to happy with his new look. Maybe cause I'm LAUGHING everytime I look at him.

Fathers Day :-)

Yesterday (Fathers Day) David/Clare and I went to the Dallas Aquarium - what a wonderful trip! We had never been so it was new to us all. Clare really enjoyed the penguins, birds, and fishs. Her eyes were wide open. She fed a bird, talked to them and tried to touch the turtles. Here are a few pics of the day. She came aways with penny the penguin and a counting book on penguins. David of course received cards and a daddy cool book from his best little bear

Little Bear weekend with Lola

When asked about babysitting Clare (2) I thought how hard could this be? - I raised 2 kids that were 1 1/2 years apart and trust me they were terrror's~ So the word yes came out of my mouth. I picked her up on Friday after school, and away we went in the the unknown. I was prepared, food, treats, juice, new toys, books, bathing suit, water vest, I mean I thought of everything! or did I? The beasty boyz ~~ somewhat excited to see her, but after being chased, pulled on, loved on, dressed up, and god knows what else (poe) they hid under the bed. We got thru our first night - just got beat up with her kicking (wild child sleeping) Saturday Im up at crack of dawn walking the boys - shhh she is sleeping. They lay outside the door just waiting for movement. OH she's up - so bath, breakfast, hair? why lola ouch hurts lola - then it was onto destroying the living room. Im thinking how in god's name can this sweet child do so much damage! - But we made if thru another day and Im exhausted. I have decided that Im taking care of THREE children. 2 of them just happen to be on 4 legs, Trust me that didnt stop Clare - so the 10 legs of pure energy took a tolle on Lola, I took a nap on saturday when she did, And sunday after dropping her off at her mom's another nap as soon as I got home. So, hard is an understandment. But as they say, after all said and done Lola I wuv u with hugs and kissed - PRICELESS and it was worth every minute

Day at the Zoo
The weather happened to be awesome, David picked me up at 9 am and we headed to the Dallas Zoo. What an adventure Clare had, from the children's zoo, to the monkeys, lions and giraffe's. She had a full day of adventure and was pooped out. Here she is crawling in a turtle shell, look to the slide show for all. She wasn't wild about the carousel ride. LOL

WHY GOD MADE MOMS
This was passed to me from a really good friend so Im sharing
Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:
Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.
How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.
What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.
What kind of a little girl was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.

3. They say she used to be nice.
What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?

What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them..
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.

1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?

3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

Rough start to the week

Just wanted to let you all know how much fun MY weekend was. So the 4 am was a bit of WOW to my family, I couldn't sleep. Had that wake up and toss turn syndrome. So I did a few things on the blog and did some work, tired me enough to go back to sleep. Good thing the office was ONCE again BROKEN into. Man, I'm getting tired of these #$@%$^#@ They didn't get anything, but to be waken up in the middle of dead sleep to a phone call, Sherry Tennyson this is Counterforce we have alarms going off at blah blah blah. We have had 3 break ins since January, oh we are not alone There is an architecture office at end of our complex. He too has been hit two times.
They threw another bolder into the glass door. I have a collection of them going on in my office
:-) I have had tempered glass with wire installed, I have had bars put on the door, along with Laminated glass door. We have deadbolted every door in this office. They kicked the door to the conference room in - Believe me when i say we have done ALOT to stop this. and Its like Fort Knox! in here! - They have not succeeded on getting anything the last 2 times. 6 laptops on first breakin. But frankly people I'm tired of it. I'm going to Hire me a Badger with a shotgun! -
I'm still trying to get the images of the friday the 13th spooks going thru my office that i spend over 50 hours in a week out of my head. The Crime Scene lady knows me by first name. LOL. So know Im playing catch up on real work since iIspent all of yesterday making this place "safe". But you and I both know, if they want in they will get it.
I keep saying "I love my job, I love my Job" OH wait I have a job I have a job :-)

Contemplating life
As i sit here reading the things that has been said about my family, I ponder and think! I search fot the meaning of Family- I know what MY feelings are but Wikipedia states
Family denotes a group of people affiliated by a common ancestry, affinity or co-residence. Although the concept of consanguinity originally referred to relations by "blood," anthropologists[who?] have argued that one must understand the idea of "blood" metaphorically, and that many societies understand 'family' through other concepts rather than through genetic distance.
It has been argued by many sociologists,[who?] anthropologists,[who?] philosophers[who?] and psychoanalysts[who?] that the main function of the family is to perpetuate society.[citation needed] Either socially, with the "social production of children",[1] or biologically, or both. Thus, one's experience of one's family shifts over time. From the perspective of children, the family is a family of orientation: the family serves to locate children socially, and plays a major role in their enculturation and socialization. From the point of view of the parent(s), the family is a family of procreation the goal of which is to produce and enculturate and socialize children.[2] However, producing children is not the only function of the family; in societies with a sexual division of labor, marriage, and the resulting relationship between two people, is necessary for the formation of an economically productive household.[citation needed]
A conjugal family includes only the husband, the wife, and unmarried children who are not of age. The most common form of this family is regularly referred to as a nuclear family.[3]
A consanguineal family consists of a parent and his or her children, and other people. This kind of family is common where mothers do not have the resources to rear their children on their own, and especially where property is inherited.[citation needed] When important property is owned by men, consanguineal families commonly consist of a husband and wife, their children and other members of the husband's family.[citation needed]
A matrifocal family consists of a mother and her children. Generally, these children are her biological offspring, although adoption of children is a practice in nearly every society. This kind of family is common where women have the resources to rear their children by themselves, or where men are more mobile than women.
So after trying to understand this, I have come to one conclusion.
Family; those who don't undertand, but yet still understand. Those you love no matter what, The people in my life, given to me by god's grace are the most important of all. My sisters, My mother and father, and most of all, be it as it may, My son's! I would not be the person I am today if it were not for those people I have mentioned - Thank you all for making me the person I am today

Troy and Brenda's Casa
Some of you may know, but for those that do not, Troy/Brenda decided to "stage the house" for sale. I have been helping them with this job. Pictured below are some changes that have been done. Spare bedroom, just rearranged and staged, Bathroom, had to de-fish and de-personalize, but I believe the transformation turned out great. Blue room as they called it, re-painted 3 walls white and stage for comfy, serene place to chill. The Living room pictures were blurry so i deleted them but we just took some furniture out and re-arranged, dinning room same thing, Den, removed pool table. placed some of the LR furniture in there and decluttered. It takes alot of time and energy to do this. Thank goodness they are young, also the wallpaper in the kitchen is GONE - Troy had workers come are redo it,now I bet that was a JOB! - looks awesome though.
CUDDOS to Troy and Brenda for having done a terrific job getting all this ready! Wishing them luck!
Troy's B-day Dinner
Last friday was Troy's 35th b-day. I know 35! Man time flies. Friends and family gathered at Abuelos for mexican food, margarita's and laughs. Troy and Brenda's good friends, Badger, Beaver and James joined in the celebration. I believe good time had by all! - oh and we did get a mexican desert and sang happy birthday.

The most beautiful, amazing and wonderful woman I know
Anyone that knows me, know's my mother Liela. She is and always has been one amazing woman, but you also know her battle for the last 7 years. She has fought and WON 4 different types of cancer, She has inspired me to not get down, depressed, and to enjoy the life that has been given to me. I admire her strength and courage. I also give extra cuddos to my father who has been by her side for 57 years of marriage. The man who told me "she is just as beautiful now as the day I met her". Now, that my friends is true love and admiration for each other. Something I will always treasure.Re-setting template

Ok since I did find out that NONE of my pictures were available I had to re-set my template. Im blaming it on that - I downloaded and found one i liked, BUT I had several people say NO pictures! - SO, I sat at my kitchen table and re-did all the posts. Its all good, had chance to add some comments that I didn't get in. AND took this wild picture of me on my computer, you can add different styles, this one i thought fit me perfect! I hope you can all see the picures now. I believe it was computer error, not human.- Have a great Sunday!
